Today The Bloom Organization announced the successful sale of a majority ownership interest in its client, Surgery Center at Doral, to Surgical Care Affiliates (“SCA”).
Located in Doral, Florida, the surgery center opened its doors in 2008. Since then, it has become a preeminent provider in both the worker’s compensation and international medical tourism space. The three (3) operating room facility specializes in orthopedic, pain management and general surgery.
The partnership between SCA and the physicians at the Surgery Center of Doral is synergistic. SCA is an industry leader when it comes to delivering the managed care strategies for private practice surgeons with non-hospital affiliated surgery centers. The partnership has a focus on expanding network participation to opens its doors and make available its unparalleled quality service to even more patients. The surgery center’s track record has lead to minimal, nearly non-existent post-surgical complications, generating tremendous long-term cost savings to insurance carriers.
