Henry Bloom founded The Bloom Organization in 1990. Since then, Mr. Bloom has accumulated more than 25 years of experience in advising physicians, group practices, ASC development companies, private equity firms, hospitals, and other types of healthcare operators and investors.
Today, The Bloom Organization, an employee-owned company (ESOP), is the preeminent advisor, development partner, and investment banker for physician practices. Mr. Bloom was an early pioneer in the surgery center industry space both on the development and transactional sides. Mr. Bloom is a co-founder and sits on the Board of G.B. LTD, a real estate holding company in New Jersey, which owns shopping centers, office buildings, and residential communities. He also participates as a board member in one of the largest urology groups in the United States. Mr. Bloom has led numerous transactions in physician practice aggregation.
Mr. Bloom frequently speaks at national surgery center and healthcare-related conferences. He has served as a keynote speaker on many panels. Topics discussed included the future opportunities offered in the healthcare services industry, growing trends, transaction methods, and effective acquisition strategies in all facets in the healthcare space. Robert Goettling has over 20 years of healthcare experience, most of which has focused on the transactional aspects of ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) and physician practices. Mr. Goettling joined the Bloom Organization in early 2007, bringing his vast expertise to help widen the scope of sell-side services offered by the firm. He is a licensed investment banker and general securities principal and has led Bloom’s M&A advisory group to well over $1 Billion in transactions.
Prior to joining Bloom, Mr. Goettling co-founded NovaMed Inc. (Nasdaq: NOVA), one of two publicly traded ASC and practice management companies, where he held a variety of senior-level executive positions during his 12 years with the company, including Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. Mr. Goettling had both operational and development expertise and conducted numerous acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers while heading NovaMed’s development team for over ten years. Mr. Goettling also had operational responsibility for both ASCs and physician practices during his years with NovaMed.
Before NovaMed, Mr. Goettling founded and sold an optical consulting company and laboratory and practiced law with Katten Muchin & Zavis in Chicago, where he specialized in general and business litigation. Mr. Goettling received his B.S.B.A. with honors in Economics from Creighton University in 1985, and his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1988. He regularly speaks at many ASC, healthcare and private equity conferences and has developed an expertise in structuring complicated multi-party healthcare transactions.

Prior to joining The Bloom Organization, Mr. Liberty served for over two years as an Analyst with Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America (ASCOA). ASCOA is an ambulatory surgery center management company that acquires, develops, and operates surgery centers in partnership with physicians. At ASCOA, Mr. Liberty provided analysis for more than 20 ASC projects, including de novo surgery centers, acquisitions, syndications, and sales. His primary responsibilities included collecting and analyzing physician surgical data, drafting business plans and marketing books, reviewing legal documents, and supporting senior management.
Prior to joining ASCOA, Mr. Liberty was introduced to the ASC industry while working for The Beacon Group, a management consulting firm that provides guidance to organizations on their most critical business issues. Mr. Liberty served as a Consultant for three separate surgery center studies. During these studies, Mr. Liberty synthesized primary research into client deliverables for Fortune 100 companies and recommended strategies for pursuing revenue growth opportunities.
Mr. Liberty received his B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Financial Markets and a minor in Administrative Science from Colby College in Waterville, Maine. He played football and baseball during his time at Colby.

Jason serves as a trusted M&A advisor to both sell and buy-side clients primarily in the areas of physician practice management and ambulatory surgery centers.
Jason has over 18 years of broad experience within the healthcare industry.
Prior to joining The Bloom Organization, Jason was a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In this role, he was engaged by large hospital systems to assess pricing for services, improve efficiencies in revenue cycle operations and work with clinical areas to improve revenue capture. Jason advised hospital leadership across a variety of service lines and managed operational improvements throughout the patient experience.
Jason brings over 10 years of clinical experience as a practicing Physician Assistant. As a PA, Jason managed patients in the acute care setting including office visits, emergency care and surgical primary assisting. He has primary assisted on over 4,000 surgical cases mainly in the areas of Orthopedics and Spinal Surgery.
Jason was the founder of an online directory and ratings platform focused on delivering non-surgical care to patients with spine related pain.
Jason holds an MBA in Corporate Finance and Strategy from NYU Stern School of Business.

Prior to joining Bloom, Dr. Josephson practiced as an internationally renowned nasal and endoscopic sinus surgeon. He received the Honors Award by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the largest professional organization of his specialty in the world. Dr. Josephson’s philosophy in medicine was to offer the highest quality of medical care to his patients through the latest in state of the art technology, and brings a similar approach to Physicians seeking business transactions for their Practices.
Dr. Josephson received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the State University of New York at Albany with distinction. He attended the State University of New York at Downstate Medical School, completed his internship in general surgery, and then a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Long Island Jewish Hospital. Dr. Josephson completed a fellowship with Dr. David W. Kennedy in Nasal and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, where he was the first fellowship trained endoscopic sinus and nasal surgeon in the United States. He was also an instructor on the faculty at the Johns Hopkins Medical Center.

Bill Simon has developed, managed and syndicated surgery centers on the West Coast for over 20 years and has earned the reputation of one of the leading surgery center experts. In addition to developing numerous physician joint venture surgery centers over this time, he is also nationally recognized authority on all aspects of the surgery center business and leads the Bloom Organization efforts for the Western US.
In 1991, Bill developed his first project, the Pain & Rehabilitation Medical Group, an outpatient rehabilitation facility located in the South Bay of Los Angeles. Since then, Bill has successfully overseen the development of multiple medical groups and facilities, representing all outpatient surgical and procedural specialties. ASCs founded by Bill include: Coast Surgery Center, The Center for Ambulatory Surgical Treatment, Pacific Endoscopy Center of the South Bay, Fullerton Surgical Center, Surgical Center of San Diego, and Outpatient Surgery Center of Del Mar. In addition, Bill founded Innovative Health Care Management, the preeminent surgery center management and development firm in southern California.
Bill received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from San Diego State University and then obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Western State University School of Law. He currently lives in San Diego. In addition to his work with IHM, Bill also co-founded Medical Finance, LLC, a premier factoring company for hospitals and ASCs that provides lien based surgical services to personal injury clients.
Prior to joining The Bloom Organization, Mr. Russo served two years as an Accounting Specialist for the University of Florida Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). The University of Florida CTSI was founded in 2008 to speed the translation of scientific discoveries into improved health by strengthening the university’s ability to conduct clinical and translational research. At CTSI, Mr. Russo’s primary responsibilities included analysis of services provided, update monthly ledgers, oversee budget compliance for department, and coordinate new intern training.
Since joining The Bloom Organization in January 2014, Mr. Russo has worked on more than 15 ASC projects, including development, syndications, acquisitions, and sales. His primary responsibilities include analyzing surgical data, financial statement analysis, valuation of ASCs, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Russo received his B.S. in Finance at the University of Florida in 2013.

Hallie brings 13 years of marketing experience across B2C and B2B to expertly identify new market opportunities, conceive and implement high impact marketing plans, and negotiate strategic partnerships to drive growth. She has extensive experience working with global corporations as well as rising industry leaders. At The Bloom Organization, Hallie is currently focused on identifying, evaluating, and sourcing new business development opportunities.
