The Bloom Organization Advises Webster Outpatient Surgery Center on Partnership with USPI
- October 13, 2023
The Bloom Organization (“Bloom”), a leading healthcare investment banking firm specializing in M&A advisory services, is pleased to announce that its client, Webster Outpatient Surgery Center (“WOSC”), has partnered with United Surgical Partners International (“USPI”), a subsidiary of Tenet Healthcare.
WOSC is a multispecialty ambulatory surgery center consisting of two (2) operating rooms and one (1) procedure room in its 7,000 sq. ft. facility located in San Ramon, California. Since commencing operations, WOSC has been dedicated to providing their patients with world-class surgeons, attentive clinical staff and state-of-the-art equipment. The ASC is fully equipped to offer a full range of surgical services ranging from cosmetics and pain management to sports medicine and orthopedics. Regardless of the procedure, patients are assured of receiving the finest combination of minimally invasive surgical techniques and patient care, resulting in a quicker, safer recovery.
The Bloom team worked closely with the WOSC physician leaders, including WOSC’s Managing Partner Dr. Tad Schwartz, throughout the process to identify a partner that will help accelerate the growth trajectory of the ASC while not compromising on WOSC’s commitment to providing the best possible outcomes for their patients. “After going through the process with the Bloom team, my partners and I were able to come to the unanimous decision that USPI was the ideal partner for the center to thrive during these increasingly challenging times for independent ASCs. Furthermore, USPI saw the potential for our ASC and thanks to the expertise and dedication of Bill Simon and the Bloom team, we were able to get a transaction closed within 90 days of executing the LOI” said Dr. Schwartz.
“The healthcare industry throughout the US is a dynamic, constantly evolving space and the greater San Francisco Bay Area where WOSC is located is no different” explained Bill Simon, Senior Vice President at The Bloom Organization. Mr. Simon continued, “Between USPI’s unparalleled track record and the quality and dedication of the WOSC physicians, I am excited to watch this partnership succeed and flourish over the years to come!”
USPI is an ambulatory healthcare provider serving approximately 2.5 million patients a year in collaboration with over 9,000 physicians and over 50 prominent health system partners nationwide. The company, which is a subsidiary of Tenet Healthcare Corporation, currently operates more than 270 surgical facilities, more than 100 urgent care centers and 24 imaging centers.
