The Bloom Organization (“Bloom”) served as sell-side investment banker and advisor for Regional Cancer Care Associates (“RCCA”) and its affiliated entities in its entry into a strategic relationship with The US Oncology Network (“USON”), an affiliate of the McKesson Corporation.  With locations in New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, and Washington, DC, RCCA physicians are world-renowned leaders in cancer care.  RCCA’s more than 150 providers offer medical, radiation, and gynecologic oncology and hematology care in addition to genetic testing, specialty pharmacy services, and clinical trials.

“It took a deep understanding of our client’s strategic goals and culture as well as the broader industry trends in order to successfully navigate this partnership between RCCA and USON,” said Brian Liberty, Managing Director at Bloom. “When working with a group of providers this large, it’s important to invest the time with each partner to ensure all are comfortable with the decision and ‘rowing together’. That educational process and the ability to connect on a personal level with our clients is how we differentiate from our peers,” Mr. Liberty added.

For The Bloom Organization, the RCCA experience represents a broadening of the firm’s capabilities in healthcare services. Bloom is an established and recognized thought leader for other physician practice management groups, having closed some of the largest transactions in areas such as urology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, primary care, women’s care, value-based provider networks, and ambulatory surgery centers, among others.

“I am proud of how our team has grown over the years in number and in quality,” said Henry Bloom, founder of The Bloom Organization. “Ten years ago, we had a very narrow focus and expertise in and around ambulatory surgery centers. Through our own hard work and targeted recruitment of talented people, our team brings the depth and experience to run any M&A process in the healthcare arena,” he concluded.

The Bloom Organization is currently engaged with leaders in oncology and other medical specialties.  The Bloom Organization worked alongside Cross Keys Capital on the RCCA-USON partnership.
